SERMORELIN (For Human Growth Hormone)

WHAT IS SERMORELIN?

Sermorelin works in the similar way as our bodies own natural growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH). GHRH is the hormone that tells our body to produce more human growth hormone (HGH). Sermorelin binds to the same receptor site on the pituitary gland as GHRH which stimulates the increased production of human growth hormone. Since growth hormone has been shown to have so many significant benefits from: increased lean body mass, improved healing, decreased body fat, to an overall feeling of general wellbeing, and more, Sermorelin has become one of the most popular means of increasing human growth hormone.

Should I Check My Growth Hormone Levels?

Symptoms of growth hormone deficiency in adults can vary, and many adults who have this condition can experience a combination of the symptoms below.

  • Anxiety and/or depression

  • Thinning hair.

  • Decrease in sexual function and interest

  • Decreased muscle mass and strength

  • Difficult to concentration and lack of memory

  • Dry, thin skin

  • Elevated triglyceride levels

  • Fatigue and/or tiredness

  • High levels of LDL (the "bad") cholesterol

  • Insulin resistance

  • Reduced bone density, making you more susceptible to developing osteoporosis

  • Very low energy levels

  • Weight gain, especially around the waist. ¹

How Can Growth Hormone Be Tested

Growth Hormone can be tested by an IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1) Test. This simple blood test measures the amount of IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1) in your blood. IGF-1 is a hormone that manages the effects of growth hormone (GH) in your body. Together, IGF-1 and GH promote normal bone, muscle and tissue growth and health. GH levels in the blood fluctuate throughout the day depending on your diet and activity levels. But IGF-1 levels remain stable. So, an IGF-1 test is a useful way to find out if your body is making a normal amount of GH. ²

Is Sermorelin Safe to Use?

Sermorelin works with the body's own ‘feedback system’. This regulates the body from producing more growth hormone than is beneficially necessary. In addition, Sermorelin stimulates the body's own natural production of growth hormone, and does not lead to a ‘shut-down' in the body’s own natural production. If any side effects occur, they are generally mild and easily managed.

Sermorelin should not be used by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or by individuals that are actively using corticosteroids. Untreated hypothyroidism can reduce the response to Sermorelin. Thyroid hormone determinations should be performed before the initiation and during therapy. Thyroid hormone replacement therapy should be initiated when indicated.
